These two mods have turned a good feeling strat into one of the finest sounding strats I've ever owned. The guitar is all original except the pickups have been upgraded to Fender USA Custom Shop Texas Special pickups (yes, the genuine USA FCS ones with the FCS "V" logo on the bobbins) and the 2nd tone-knob has been wired to the bridge pickup.
Other features include three hot single-coil pickups with alnico 3 magnets (middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity), vintage-style synchronized tremolo system, Greasebucket tone circuit and satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. If there is a collectible Highway One - this is it. The Highway One Stratocaster guitar features an alder body, modern C-shaped maple neck with rosewood or maple fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets.
